Interactive Maps

Please note that the Interactive Maps which contain Assembly Areas are based on the 1992 Parliamentary Constituency Boundaries. Following the commencement of the official election period on 25th March 2011 the Assembly Areas in Northern Ireland have been re-aligned with the newer 2008 Westminster Parliamentary Consituency Boundaries.

In practice the Assembly Area 2011/Westminster Parliamentary Constituency 2008 boundaries are not very different to their predecessors. Six of the 18 Assembly Areas are unchanged. The degree of change, based on the population estimates in 2008, range from a 21% increase in population size to a 13% decrease in population size. Important: Some of the interactive maps are based on SVG Technology whilst more recent maps are based on Flash Technology.
