On Census Day 29th April 2001 the resident population of Seaforde ward was 2610. Of this population:- 24.1% were under 16 years old and 15.6% were aged 60 and over;
- 51.1% of the population were male and 48.9% were female;
- 56.0% were from a Catholic community background and 41.7% were from a 'Protestant and Other Christian (including Christian related)' community background;
- 30.7% of persons aged 16 and over were single (never married);

The population for Seaforde ward in 2010 was estimated at 3011, of which 22.7% were children, 30.3% were young working age adults, 32.0% were older working age adults and 15.0% were older people.
