Thursday 28 August 2008

Small Area Income Deprivation Estimates have been published providing estimates of income deprivation for each SOA in Northern Ireland for the years 2003/2005. For other geographies (Wards, Districts, Parliamentary Constituencies and Health Boards), the figures are weighted averages of SOA findings.

Release of Investing for Health website

Thursday 18 January 2007

The Investing for Health (IfH) Strategy aims to improve the health of the entire population of Northern Ireland and to reduce health inequalities. The Strategy set a number of targets through which performance against its goals and objectives can measured. The Eastern Area IfH Partnership engaged Belfast Healthy Cities to develop health and wellbeing indicators to monitor progress. This work has been endorsed by the Department of Health and Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS) and the Northern, Southern and Western IfH Partnerships and is now the agreed regional monitoring tool. This website provides information on these health and wellbeing indicators. Click here for further details.

Users can obtain an area profile by entering a postcode or choosing from a map, download indicator data available so far from the Data Catalogue and view static maps for areas.
